Completed Project (2006): “Sustainable Waste Management” in the Town of Sikasso, Mali in partnership with the Government of Belgium. The implementing Agency was the “Belgian Technical Cooperation”. The project concerned the construction of a controlled public waste management site in the town of Sikasso. The contribution of CyprusAid was used for the purchase of relevant equipment of the value of €170,000.

Completed Project (2008-2009): “Programme for the construction of crossing-over works in Koulikoro region (PROFK I)”, in partnership with the Government of Belgium. CyprusAid financed the construction of four bridges in the area of Koulikoro, Mali, in order to facilitate access to the villages of the area, especially during the winter months when the rising river water compromised transportation and the flow of supplies to the villages. CyprusAid contribution to this project amounted to €400,000 (€200.000 for 2008 and €200.000 for 2009).

On-going Project (2010-2011): “Programme for the construction of crossing-over works in Koulikoro region (PROFK II)”, in partnership with the Government of Belgium. This is the sequel of the previous project funded by the Republic of Cyprus in 2008, which related to the the construction of four bridges in the Koulikoro region. CyprusAid contribution to this project amounted to €540,000 (€320.000 for 2010 and €220.000 for 2011) and it was used for road rehabilitation works in the municipality of Banamba, Tenindougou, Banco, and Minidian as well as building of a bridge after the village of Tizana on the local Mena to Dogoni road, building of a bridge on the creek of Komoko and a culvert on the creek Sanankoro Nko.
