Completed project (2010): “Fighting Malnutrition on people affected by HIV/AIDS in Malawi”, in partnership with the Community of Sant’ Egidio. The general objective of the project was to break the vicious circle connecting HIV/AIDS to the immune system and malnutrition in Malawi. The contribution of the Cyprus Government to the project amounted to €125,000. It should be noted that within the framework of the project, 17,477 packs of food were distributed to patients.

Ongoing project (2011): “Strengthening of Prevention, diagnosis and treatment of HIV/AIDS in Malawi”, in partnership with the Community of Sant’ Egidio. The general objective of the project is to assist the Government of Malawi in lessening the impact of HIV/AIDS pandemic through prevention of transmission of HIV, care of people living with HIV/AIDS, and provision of health nutritional education and food supplementation n Malawi. The total contribution of the Cyprus Government to the project amounted to €125,000.
