Completed project (2010): “Prevention and Treatment of HIV/AIDS in Guinea Conakry”, in partnership with the Community of Sant’ Egidio. The general objective of the project was to provide the necessary services at the DREAM Centre of Conakry in order to treat children and to prevent HIV/AIDS mother-to-child transmission. The contribution of the Cyprus Government to the project amounted to €125,000.

Ongoing project (2011): “Development of the programme for the prevention and Treatment of HIV/AIDS in the Republic of Guinea – 2011/2012” , in partnership with the Community of Sant’ Egidio. The general objective of the project is to reduce the impact of the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Guinea through the prevention of the transmission of HIV, treatment of people living with HIV/AIDS, and by providing health education and food supplementation in Guinea. The total contribution of the Cyprus Government to the project amounted to €125,000.
