CYPRUSAID - THE DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION SERVICE OF THE REPUBLIC OF CYPRUS - Partner countries

Ongoing project (2010): “Building Climate Resilience in Nepal”, in partnership with the Commission of the European Union through “Global Climate Change Alliance-GCCA”. The main focus of the project which is implemented by the UK in cooperation with the Government of Nepal is the development of the administrative capacity of Nepal at national and local levels to enable the implementation of the National Adaptation Program with regard to Climate Change. Also the project aims at the integration of climate change policies in programmes and plans of the Government of Nepal and the development of initiative promotion mechanisms for climate adaptation. The contribution of the Cyprus Government to the project amounted to €600,000.
